Doris “June” Sheaffer, 87, 0f Nampa, ID passed away on May 6, 2014. June was born June 4, 1926 in Jewell County Kansas to Abbie and Bertha Roe. She was next to the youngest of none children. She always said she was her Daddy’s favorite little girl.
She was raised and went to school in Burroke Kansas until January of 1945 when her family moved to Caldwell Idaho. She went her last semester at Caldwell High School. June was a hard worker and worked most of her younger life waitressing at many restaurants in Caldwell.
On December 30, 1975 she married her soul mate and the love of her life Bob Sheaffer. They had 37 wonderful years of marriage. They loved to travel and spent time in the Pine and Featherville area. Bob passed away in July of 2013.
June is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Geri and Rick Sweaney, stepchildren Toni (Jerry) Ward, Terry (Kay)Sheaffer. Grandchildren Scott (Amber) Sweaney, Tina(Tim) Tatum, David (April) Ward, Kevin (Tryan) Sheaffer, Melissa (Brad) Bacon, and Kassandra Sheaffer. Along with 9 great grandchildren, Niece; Vickie Petter and other family and friends.
June was preceded in death by her husband Bob, all her siblings and her parents. We can only imagine what joy there was when Mom got to heaven and Bob was waiting or her. A special thanks to Ashley Manor in Nampa along with Auburn Crest Hospice for the care and love they gave to mom during her stay with them. They really are angels.
