Doris "Juanita" (Taylor) Knight

On April 29, 2022, Doris J. Knight (nee Taylor), “Juanita” passed at the age of 98.

Born the daughter of James L. and Christina (nee Mueller) Taylor in Sappington, Md. (Odenton), she would spend the entirety of her life in this area.

Juanita was a homemaker by vocation and was a great cook and excellent baker.  She enjoyed decorating her home and keeping a garden.  Outside of the home she like to shop and attended Dirt Track Races at Dorsey Speedway where she would sit in the front row.  Juanita was an accomplished Duckpin and 10 Pin League bowler for which she received many trophies and collected pins and Bowling shirts.  She was affectionately known as “the Boss” of the house but was  also know as a loving wife, good mother and devoted grandmother.

Juanita is reunited after 35 years, with her dear husband Preston to who she had been married for 47 years at his passing.  She is survived by her devoted daughters,  Jean Marie Bauer, Joyce Hutchison (late William) Wanda Hart and beloved son Robert “Butch” Knight.  SHe once again can embrace her dear Charlotte Louise who passed at the tender age of 3.  Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Dale and Timothy Knight, Rebecca Bauer, Tammy, Robert and Kenneth Dixon, Kimberly Emig, Tiffany O’Leary and Jennifer Rosen.  She is together again with her grand daughter Carolyn Knight in passing.  Her legacy continues in 40 great and great-great grandchildren.  Juanita joins her siblings Edward, James, Lawrence and Russell Taylor and Lorraine Kelly in passing.
