Jeanne Hixon, 69, of Flintstone, died Tuesday August 5, 2003, in a local health care facility. She was of the Baptist faith and had lived most of her life in North Georgia. Mrs. Hixon retired from the Walker County School System where she was a cafeteria manager for Rossville and Ridgeland High School. Survivors are husband of 52 years, William Hixon; son, William (Sherry) Hixon Jr., Hixson; daughters, Kathy (Chip) McMurtrie, Flintstone, Kimberly (Jeff) Eidson, Ringgold; grandchildren, Melissa (Keith) McMurtrie Vaughn, Clawson, Michigan, and Patrick McMurtrie, Flintstone.
