Doris “Jean” Reger, 77, of Peru, passed away Monday morning, August 26, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Reger was born on May 10, 1942 in Hodgenville, KY to Russell and Gladys (Farmer) Willoughby. She married Jerry Reger on May 20, 1960 in Earlville.
Jean retired as the owner of Country Ranch Banquet Hall after more than 13 years of ownership. She was active in the Live Life Pre- and Post-Transplant Support Group at Illinois Valley Community Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Peru; her son, Kevin (Linda) Reger of Tinley Park and her daughter, Rosemary Reger of Peru; four grandchildren, Christopher (Rachel) Reger, Jennifer Reger, Caitlyn (Alexander) Logan and Claire Reger; three great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and Benjamin; three brothers, William Willoughby of LaSalle, Roger (Laura) Willoughby of Granville and Randy (Nancy) Willoughby of Mendota; one sister in-law, Lynn Schrader of Peru and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Willoughby.
