Doris Nelson was born at Roth, North Dakota on Dec. 26, 1926 to Joseph and Ester Nelson. She went home to her heavenly mansion on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
She had four brothers; Oscar, Joel, LuVern, and Marlyn. She started school at age six and completed eighth grade and confirmation. Doris then went to work for neighbors, saving everything she made. At the age of 25, she attended Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis. There she met Erling Christensen and they were married on Nov. 26, 1949. In 1952 their first child was born and shortly after David was born they loaded the family and farm equipment and moved to a farm near Nampa. This is where they raised three boys and one girl; David, James, Jonathan, and Elizabeth.
Many folks around have been blessed by God through the actions of Doris. Doris was also blessed by God so many times and ways. Doris was human and no different from anyone else, except she was loyal to her belief in Jesus.
A great reunion is sure to be taking place with Jesus and friends.
