Doris Guilmette, age 90, of Milford, and beloved wife of 66 years to the late Paul M. Guilmette, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, January 23, 2015 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. She was born on April 20, 1924, in Claremont, NH to the late Milford and Anna Osgood.
Doris met her future husband Paul, in Claremont, NH and they were married on June 29, 1946, residing there for 7 years and then moving to Milford where they lived for 33 years. She worked for Robert-Shaw Controls in Milford, and upon Doris and Paul’s retirement moved to Holiday Shores in Largo, FL, for 22 years and then at the Barrington Senior Living for 4 years. In 2012, they returned to Milford, and in 2014, she moved to Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehab.
She is survived by her son, Gary Guilmette and wife Frances of Milford; her daughter, Carol Stafford and husband Paul of Milford; her former daughter-in-law, Muriel Guilmette of Milford; cherished grandchildren, Bridget Krauss (Karl) and Gary Guilmette Jr. (Danielle) of Milford, Tracy Frank (Kruger) of Dixon, CA, Kyle Stafford and Megan Stafford of Milford; her beloved great grandchildren, Emily, Madison, Nathan, Mackenzie, Juliet, and Carter of Milford, Maya and Phineas of Dixon, CA; her sisters: Dorothy Baron (her twin) of Claremont, NH and Norma Osgood of Shelton, CT; two brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Alan and Irene Guilmette of Milford and Karl and Mary Guilmette of Largo, FL; sister-in-law, Joanne Guilmette of Largo, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
