Doris Geraldine Wright Wallace Shinn, age 101, of Salem, died at 4:45 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 21, 1910 in Andover, Ohio, the daughter of the late Chester and Iva (Twitchell) Phillips. Doris was a homemaker and a member of the Greenford Christian Church.
Her first husband, Allen Wright, whom she married August 12, 1930, preceded her in death August 25, 1966; her second husband, William Wallace, whom she married January 23, 1970, preceded her in death April 18, 1982; and her third husband, Lester Shinn, whom she married October 30, 1987, also preceded her in death.
A son, Edward Wright preceded her in death in 1941 and she was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Survivors include three sons, Dennis Wright of Salem, Jeffrey Wright of Salem and Ronald Wright of Phoenix, Arizona; stepchildren, Robert Shinn, Janice Hill, Gale Shinn and Gay Griehs all of Salem; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
