Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Rodgers Walker, age 88, of Valley, Alabama passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at her home surrounded by her children.
She was born in Troy, Alabama on April 30, 1926.
She is survived by three children, Joe Curtis Walker, Brenda L. Walker, and Jo Anne Daniel Burt, all of Valley; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Stephen Andrew Walker; husband, John Lewis Walker; son, John William Walker; daughter, Dorothy Evelyn Walker.
Mrs. Walker has been a part of the Valley community for 73 years. She worked for West Point Pepperell for 30 years, retiring in 1987. She was an amazing mother and “Nana”, who was loved by all. She enjoyed everyone and never met a stranger.
