Doris C. “Dodie” Holmes, 99, of 124 Brandon Place, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at The Gatehouse Hospice following a brief illness.
Born January 11, 1911 in Montoursville, she was the daughter of William L. and Rosa L. Day Crisswell.
Surviving are a son, William A. (Nancy) Holmes Jr. of Williamsport; daughters, Judith H. Horn of Muncy and Betty H. Vance of Williamsport; a sister, Marion Wenzel of Williamsport; grandchildren, William P. (Karen) Holmes, Tom (Denise) Holmes, Marybeth (Brett) Mitstifer, Jill (Mike) Fullerton, James M. (Cailyn) Knouse, Joseph (Donna) Knouse, Aimee (Fred) Grenninger and Kim (Randy) Haley; 12 great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, William A. Holmes Sr., and a great grandson.
