Doris Ann Myers, 86, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Rensselaer Care Center.
Doris was born in Jasper County, IN on December 23, 1935, the daughter of Albert and Jessie (Cooper) Misch. Doris graduated as Valedictorian from Wheatfield High School, Class of 1954. On September 28, 1957, in Wheatfield, IN She married the love of her life, Ralph “Ole” Myers.
Doris worked as a Library Aid and Food Service Manager at Rensselaer Central School Corporation for twenty plus years. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family.
Doris loved cooking and baking. She oversaw organizing funeral dinners at St. Augustine Catholic Church of Rensselaer for over twenty years, where she was a devoted member. She will be truly missed by her family, friends, and community.
Doris is survived by; her loving husband, Ole; five children, Bill (Theresa) Myers of Ft. Wayne, IN, Beth (Randy) Warren of Rensselaer, IN, Mary Myers of Indianapolis, IN, Diane (Dave) Spall of Surprise, AZ, and Steve (Natalie) Myers of Rensselaer, IN; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don (Barb) Misch of Rensselaer, IN, Clarence (Shirley) Misch of DeMotte, IN; one sister, Mary (Phil) Brown of Lebanon, IN.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Myers; one brother, Leo Misch.
