Doris was born on February 5, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Elbert and Rose Virginia Blankenship. She was raised in Los Angeles and, in her younger years, she loved to dance, took dance lessons and dreamed of someday being a professional dancer. She married Jeffrey Vanscoy in Los Angeles, California in 1961. They had three children together, Daniel and twins Dawn and Darlene. They later divorced.
Doris married William “Bill” Davis in Los Angeles in 1969. Together, they had a daughter, Terri, in 1973. Bill and Doris moved their family to a farm in Parma, Idaho in 1974, where they remained until their divorce in 1986. She later married Dallas Johnson they divorced in 2001.
Doris is survived by her 2 sisters, Sandra Dunn and Christine Maguire of Nampa; a brother, Christopher Blankenship of Caldwell; her three daughters, Dawn Rathbun of Ontario, Darlene VanScoy of Meridian and Terri Pruitt of Caldwell; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Orville, her son, Daniel; and a grandson, Mitchell Pero. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her spunky spirit will be missed most of all.
