Doris Allred Thompson, 92, of Ramseur, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur.
Doris was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, retired from Ramtex, and spent the last part of her career working at Sears. She considered her coworkers as family and was able to keep in touch with them for many years.
Survivors: daughters, Gloria Best and husband, Robert, of South Dakota, Janet Henley and husband, Benny, of Franklinville, Robin Rudick and husband, Morris, of Ramseur, sister, Nancy Crawford, of Greensboro, brothers, David Allred (Beth), of Kernersville, Jimmy Allred (Sherry), of Ramseur, grandchildren, Angela Towne (Jason), Derrick Wadleigh, Brandon Henley, Candi Leonard (Travis), Robert Duncan (Amanda), Devin Best, Marissa Shaw (Blake), Cierra Rudick, twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will recieve friends following the service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the home of Benny and Janet Henley.
