Doris A. McKinney McKay, 84, Markleville, died January 21, 2004 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana.

She was born October 18, 1919 in Prince, West Virginia, and resided in Markleville, Indiana. She had been a resident of Markleville since 1950. She worked for Container Corporation and later for Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, where she retired in 1984. Member of Markleville North Christian Church. Her main love and passion was as a mother and a grandmother.

She was a licensed beautician, loved all kinds of flowers and enjoyed gardening. Her greatest accomplishments were her children, who she loved dearly. She was also a member of U.A.W. Local #663 Retiree Chapter and the Markleville Brotherhood & Sisterhood.

She is survived by her Children: Ira wife, Phyllis McKay of Anderson, Clarence ”Wally” wife, Mardel McKay of Middletown, Burwell Selden wife, Bennie McKay of Madison, IN and Delores husband, Mike Young of New Castle; sister, Imogene Neely of Daniels, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Garnett McKinney of Anderson; nine grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many special friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the Dr. Harp and the staff of St. John’s Hospital.

She was preceded by her Husband, Clarence W. McKay, Sr. in 1967; parents, Leonard & Ella McKinney; brothers, Junior McKinney and Grover McKinney; and a sister, Mildred Carter
