Doris Ann Drake, 92, of Kamiah, passed away on Monday, Dec. 18, 2017 at Grangeville Heath and Rehabilitation in Grangeville. She was born on March 9, 1925 in Winona, ID to Doyle and Elsie Arp Hobart. She graduated in 1943 from Kamiah High School, and went on to attend Kinman Business College in Spokane.
She married Roy (Duck) Drake Jr. on June 5, 1945 in Kamiah. They lived at various times together in Kamiah, Kooskia, Lewiston and Juliaetta. She worked various jobs, but spent the greatest amount of time working at Central Idaho Bank in Kooskia and Lewiston Grain Growers in Lenore and Lewiston. Upon retirement she and Duck returned to Kamiah in 1991, where they resided until Duck passed away on June 2, 1998. She then resided at assisted living residences with Irene Brown in Kooskia, Haven of Rest in Kamiah, and Grangeville Health and Rehabilitation in Grangeville.
Her survivors are a son, Greg Drake of Kamiah, a daughter, Beth Collins, of Grangeville, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
