Dora Mae Rawley, 91, of Bicknell, passed away Thursday January 10, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with her family at her bedside. She was born April 12, 1921 in Bicknell the daughter of Oscar H. & Viola M. Michael Strahley.

She was a graduate of Bicknell High School, attended Owassa College and Frankfort Pilgrim Holiness College. She and Helen Kelly Fletcher and Helen Hengel Felsburg sang together as the Hoosier Trio a religious musical group. They were the last singers for the Frankfort Camp before the district was divided. She retired as a secretary/bookkeeper at Montgomery Ward in 1979. She married Ross Richard Rawley on December 21, 1951 while she was attending Nazarene College and they made their life together for 47 years until his death in 1999.

She and her husband pastured the Zion Hills Church in Bloomfield until ill health forced them to retire. She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church where she had been active and served for 33 years as treasurer, Sunday school teacher, pianist and in any capacity she could. She is survived by a son, Richard Jon Rawley of Bicknell, IN and several nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
