Dora Mae Blue, 85, of Elkhart, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Dora was born Jan. 3, 1932, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, to Joseph and Blanche Neely.

On June 16, 1951, she married Robert D. Blue in Mishawaka. He survives along with three sons, Timothy (Julia) Blue of Elkhart, James Blue of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Joel (Raquel) Blue of Wallkill, New York; one sister, Carol Foster of Fremont; four grandchildren, Kristin Grimm, Aaron Blue, Landon Blue and Jaelyn Blue; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Beulah Foster and her brother, Gene Neely.

Dora was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in July 1944.

Over the past 73 years, her life was devoted to helping people learn about the Bible and about her God, Jehovah.

Her faith also moved her to keep a sunny disposition which brought smiles to many faces over the years.
