Dora Barbaresi Donroe, 92, of 75 Washington Ave., Hamden passed away Nov. 29, 2010 in Whitney Manor. She was the former wife of the late Albert V. Donroe. Born in New Haven Nov. 28, 1918, she was the daughter of the late George and Lydia Belbusti Barbaresi. Prior to her retirement, she was a dress maker for several area sewing contractors including Duckster and A & L Brands. She is survived by two sons, Alfred A. (Fred) Donroe of Worcester, MA. And Edward R. Donroe of Tacoma, WA.; four grandchildren, Tammy Donroe Inman, Tricia Donroe Barker, Malcolm J. Bellafronto III & Eric Bellafronto; and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Pvt. Alfred Donroe, US Army; a daughter, Margaret Donroe Bellafronto; a brother, retired NH Schools Superintendant Gerald Barbaresi; and six sisters, Eva Blasi, Jean Borelli, Ann Bontempo, Edith Piccolo, Dava Catone and Septimina Barbaresi.
