Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on Friday evening, January 8, 2021 at DMC Harper University Hospital in Detroit. She was 84 years old. Dora Teneyuque was born September 13, 1936 in Maxwell, Texas to the late Anaestacio and Urbana (Rodriguez) Teneyuque. She married Nick T. Amador on November 19, 1955 in Saginaw, Michigan. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2020. Dora was employed by St. Mary’s Catholic School as a custodian retiring after 20 years of service. She was a faithful and active member of St. Georges Catholic Church of Saginaw for many years.
Dora enjoyed taking trips to the casino and had a love for playing bingo.
Surviving are her children, Herb (Rita Marie) Sanchez, Teresa Garcia, Helen (Teddy) Rodriguez, Nick (Sophie) Amador Jr., Ernest Amador, Arthur (Linda) Amador, and Mark (Victoria) Amador; twenty one grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Connie DeLeon, Gloria Morales, and Raymond Teneyuque; special nieces and nephews of the Pacheco family; special nieces, Betty Pacheco-Gonzalez and Sylvia Teneyuque, and many nieces and nephews.
Dora was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nick T. Amador; five brothers and five sisters.
