A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, foster dad, uncle and faithful friend to all who knew him; Donovan Crews Furr, 89, born January 10, 1927, departed this earthly life to meet his Heavenly Father on September 13, 2016 surrounded by his children and beloved friends. He and his Honey were residents of Central for 70 years. He was a Veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy as a radioman. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, hunting from Alaska, north Canada, thru the Louisiana swamps to Mexico’s Rio Grande.
