Mr. Davis peacefully passed away at his residence in San Diego, California.

DONNELL ERIC DAVIS, SR. was born on December 18, 1970 in Washington, D.C to Eric Wright and Evelyn Davis. At the age of six, Donnell and his family moved to San Diego, California, where he attended Knox Elementary, Gompers Jr. High and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1989.

 After graduating from high school, Donnell enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. He served his country with honor and dedication. He received his Honorable Discharge with the rank of Corporal during the early 2000s.

 Shortly afterwards, Donnell worked in the construction field.

 On August 1, 1991, Donnell united in marriage with Keshia Thompson. Their union was blessed with two beautiful children, Donnell Jr. and Doneshia. Donnell Jr. preceded him in death on March 16, 2008.

 Donnell loved his family unconditionally and they dearly loved him. He was fun loving, outgoing and a perfectionist, especially about his work. Donnell enjoyed and participated in a variety of sports, including coaching football for Valencia Park Pop Warners, where his son also played. He attended every game that Donnell Jr. played. He also enjoyed snowboarding, old school music, jazz, hanging out with his friends, golfing, while smoking his Black and Mild Cigars and talking plenty of trash. His warm and loving spirit and infectious smile will be greatly missed.

 Waiting to greet him at the Heavenly Gates will be his beloved son and his grandmother, Vernell Davis.

 On Monday, April 7, 2014, Donnell Eric Davis, Sr. was called home to be with his Heavenly Father. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Doneshia Davis; granddaughter, Brooklyn Bell, both of Houston, Texas; his mother, Evelyn Davis of San Diego, California; his father, Eric Wright of Washington, DC; his brother, Imani Hameed of San Diego, California; his stepbrothers and stepsisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
