Donnel R. Springer, 91, of O’Fallon, Ill., formerly of Seattle, Washington, born March 18, 1916 in Aurora, Nebr., died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Covenant Care of O’Fallon. Mr. Springer attended O’Fallon United Church of Christ.
He was a meteorologist for Northwest Airlines for 35 years. He was a member of the Airlines Meteorology Assn., the Retired Northwest Pilots Assn. and was also a member of the Double 8 Square Dance Club in Seattle.
Donnel was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph Christian and Bertha, nee Henderson, Springer and his wife Bula Maude, nee McCoy, Springer who preceded him on November 13, 2006. He is survived by 3 children; Steven (Robin) Springer of O’Fallon, Ill., Larry Springer and Rogena Springer, both of Seattle, Washington, grandchildren; Noble J. (Judey) Springer, Loyette C. Springer, of O’Fallon, Ill., 4 other grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
