Donna Rae Bush, age 79, formerly a long-time resident of Belleville, IL, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018, at Grace Presbyterian Village in Dallas, TX, surrounded by her family. Donna was born October 9, 1938, in Mounds, IL, to James Burgess Hester and Lora (nee Scott) Hester. She married James Samuel Bush on October 22, 1959, and he preceded her in death on August 17, 2014.
Donna is survived by four children: Caren Rae (David) Cerutti of Dallas, TX, James Daniel Bush of Keller, TX, Jacqueline Sue Bush (John Dugenske) of Chicago, IL, and Thomas Alan Bush of St. Louis, MO. Donna is also survived by five grandchildren: Margaret Rae Cerutti of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Mae Cerutti of Dallas, TX, Caroline Aya Bush of Ft. Worth, TX, Anders Beckwith Dugenske of Chicago, IL, and Josie Viola Dugenske of Chicago, IL. Donna worked for Southwestern Illinois Visiting Nurse Association as a home-health registered nurse for over 30 years. In her spare time, Donna was an avid painter and enjoyed building and furnishing miniature doll houses. Over the years, she treasured her many pets, from orphaned squirrels and bunnies to numerous cats and dogs. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
