Roy, UT – Donna Mae Wistisen Gavin, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on December 12, 2016.
She was born June 24, 1927 in Logan, Utah, a daughter of Iner Wistisen and Ann Friedli. She was raised in Logan, Utah where she attended school.
She married her eternal companion Jay Robert Gavin October 31, 1947 and spent 68 wonderful years together. Jay passed away December 12, 2015 and Donna followed exactly one year later.
Jay and Donna lived in Ogden prior to moving to Roy in 1960.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved needlepoint and created many fine art pieces that family and friends cherish.
She devoted her life to her family and made sure they always came first. She was first and foremost a truly amazing mother to her children whose success are testament to the principles and beliefs she instilled in them. She had a kind heart and made great efforts to care for her family when the need arose.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Iner Junior Wistisen and Glade Wistisen.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to our friend Bruce Miller who has been like a son to our parents and a brother to us all.
