Donna M. Prather, 84, passed away July 9, 2016, at Care Initiatives in Chariton, Iowa. Donna was born on May 19, 1932 in rural Chariton, Iowa to Merle F. Goode and Hazel C. (Nine) Goode.
Donna grew up in Chariton, Iowa and attended Chariton Community Schools.
Donna was a loving mother to her children Connie, Craig, Dennis and Jana. She spent her life caring for her children and grandchildren. Her family was the most important to her and she demonstrated this by attending all of their activities. She was very proud of their accomplishments and made sure they knew it!
Donna was known for her beautiful blue eyes and a sweet smile. She was loved by everyone and her presence just made each day brighter.
Donna is survived by brother Jerry (Betty) Goode of Chariton, Iowa, daughter Connie (Gary) Lazear of Chariton, Iowa, son Craig (JoAnn) Anderson of Chariton, Iowa, son Dennis (June) Anderson of Chariton, Iowa and daughter Jana (Frank) Rodgers of Chariton, Iowa and 14 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren.
Donna was known for her genuine and kind personality that won the hearts of many. She touched each of our lives in her own special way. Her caring and thoughtfulness to family and friends will never be forgotten.
Donna is preceded in death by her father, Merle F. Goode, mother, Hazel C. (Nine) Goode, brother, Ronald Goode, sister, Margaret Stansbery, and brother, Kenneth Goode.
