Donna M. (Maiolino) Murphy, 63 of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2015, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous 7 year battle with breast cancer. Donna, born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, has resided in Toms River since 1989. She is a graduate of Villa Joseph Marie High School, Holland, PA and Temple University School of Radiology. Donna previously worked at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia and Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. Since moving to Toms River, NJ she has worked at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ and most recently at Southern Ocean County Hospital in Manahawkin, NJ where she served as Director of Radiology before retiring in 2012. Donna is predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Anne Maiolino.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Michael, and her children Ryan (Krista), Erin Govern (Walter) and Sean (Katie Sbordon). She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Cora Rose and Liam Ignatius as well as her brother Frank Maiolino (Rita), her sisters Anne Boyle (John), Celeste Gaspero, her sisters-in-law Joanne Sawyer (Tom), Jeannie Feighan (Jack) and many nieces, nephews and friends.
