Donna Lynn Cabaniss

Donna Lynn (Turner) Cabaniss, born May 3, 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama, peacefully passed into the presence of the Lord, Sunday September 12, 2021 at Northport DCH, Northport, Alabama with her family by her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Belton Turner and Helen Jane Poe. She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Ralph Theodore Cabaniss, sons Aaron Madison Cabaniss (Amy), Alan Michael Cabaniss (Carrie), and her daughter Leigha Marie Pate (Derek); seven grandchildren, Thomas Madison Cabaniss, Aaron Hugh Cabaniss, Clara June Cabaniss, Lillian Grace Cabaniss, John Michael Pate, Evelyn Anne Pate, and Kalynn Reece Cabaniss; sisters Kay Herndon (Bobby), Janna Poe, and Robin Carter; brother William “Chip” Turner (Bert); sisters-in-law Lorraine Brucke (James), Karen Martin (Terry) and Sheri Reuther (Jim) as well as many loved nieces and nephews and cousins.

Lynn was a strong Christian wife, totally devoted to her husband, her children, her family and her church. Lynn was a perfect officer’s wife and her support of Ralph during his various assignments led to a very enjoyable 24 year Air Force career for them as she helped forge many lasting friendships at their various assignments. Inseparable through more than 47 years of marriage, God knew what he was doing when He joined them together as they were a perfect match for each other. A certified X-Ray Techologist, she used her skills in several hospitals across the country as a result of her husband’s Air Force Career as a pilot. She was a loving mother to her children and adoring Grammy to her grandchildren and a devoted big sister to her sisters and her brother. She enjoyed the last 22 plus years at the family farm in the Samantha Community and was a member of Carrolls Creek Baptist church.
