Donna Jean Weimer Freeman, 78, of Williamsport, died peacefully, Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Williamsport Home.
Born August 24, 1939 in Sunbury, she was a daughter of William Ralph and Mary Beatrice (Weikel) Knopp.
Donna was a 1957 graduate of Watsontown High School. She worked for International Furniture (1957), Sylvania Electric (1959), Warrior Run High School (1969), and as a secretary for John A. Felix, Esq. from 1971-2010. Donna attended Hepburn Baptist Church. She loved her family and spending time with them especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, bicycling, and traveling. She was very active in her church through music ministries, playing the piano, organ, and singing.
Surviving are her husband Lee H. Freeman whom she married April 30, 2011, two sons James D. Barrett (Kitten) of Williamsport and Scott D. Barrett (Deb) of Turbotville, five step-children Kenneth G. Weimer (Donna) of Muncy, Larry J. Weimer (Karen) of Allenwood, Lee Freeman, Jr. of Williamsport, Kathryn Sandelli (Rob) of Whippany, NJ, and Kimberly Freeman of Philadelphia, eight grandchildren Jamie, Jason, Heather, Matthew, Aubrey, Michael, George, and Angel, and great grandchildren, two brothers Leon Knopp (Judy) of Muncy and Milan Knopp (Jean) of Muncy, a sister Doris Bower (Harold deceased) of Williamsport, and a sister-in-law Florence Knopp.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hiram G. “Jim” Weimer on April 8, 2007 after 32 years of marriage, a grandson Justin, brother Ralph Knopp, and a sister Valeria Holmes (LeRoy-deceased), and husband Homer J. Barrett.
