Donna Jo Pickett

Donna Jo Pickett, 85, of Sheridan, IN; passed away on August 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born on June 10, 1933 to the late John Kyle and Frances Mae (Stevenson) Eccles in Columbus, Wisconsin.
Donna was a graduate of the Whiteland High School class of 1951. After graduating, Donna was employed at the Bell Telephone Company where she worked in the accounting department. Donna later took a position with the Dragoo Tax Office in Sheridan.
Donna was very involved in her community. She was the longest active member of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority in Sheridan. Donna was a member of the Sheridan Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary for over 30 years. Donna served as her children’s Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader.
Donna and her husband Jim were married on April 24, 1955 in Greenwood, IN and have been at each other’s side for over 63 loving years. Both Donna and Jim cherished serving their community and their faith.
Donna and Jim’s greatest accomplishment was their loving family of four children; Linda (Judy Graham) Pickett of Sheridan, Dr. Jay (Nancy) Pickett of Texas, Janice (Jeff) Millikan of Sheridan, and daughter, Beth Welch, who preceded Donna in death in 2008. Donna was devoted grandmother to Chris Pickett of Texas, Dr. Stephen (Laura) Pickett of Texas, Dr. Grant (Dr. June) Pickett of Texas, Kelly (Jonathan) Billiot of Texas, Matt (Stacey) Millikan of Noblesville, Dylan (Nicole) Millikan of California, Emma Millikan of Sheridan, Garrett Welch of Sheridan, and Owen Welch of Indianapolis. Donna was a proud great-grandmother to Cohen Billiot, James Pickett, Sophia, Sarah and Megan Millikan. Donna is also survived by her beloved sister Dianne Willian of Oregon, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
