Donna J. Devlin, 65, of Ashland, IL and formerly of Virginia, IL passed away Thursday morning, June 28, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

She was born July 1, 1952 in Springfield, the daughter of Wayne Scott Blakeman and LuBerta E. “Tudie” Fanning Blakeman Scholes.  She married Patrick Devlin on January 20, 1979 in Virginia and he survives.

She is also survived by three children, Emily Wallbaum (husband, Travis) of Ashland, Ryan Ruot (wife, Angie) of Assumption, and Andrew “Drew” Devlin (wife, Amanda) of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Sydney and Bailey Wallbaum of Ashland, Jasmine Ruot of Assumption, Mariah Devlin of Affton, MO, and Dillon and Kendal Devlin of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Walter Edward Scholes.

A 1970 graduate of Virginia High School, Donna was employed in the Cass County Treasurer’s office in the Cass County Courthouse for over 12 years.  She formerly owned and operated the South Side Tavern in Virginia and more recently has managed Walby’s Place in Ashland.

She was a member of the Virginia United Methodist Church and an avid race fan, always supporting her family members involved in dirt track racing.  She also was her grandchildren’s biggest fan as they participated in sporting events.
