Donna Hazel Drennen passed away at home on December 28, 2016 at the age of 90. Donna was born in 1926 in Duluth Minnesota and attended Minnesota State Teachers’ College. Donna married Jack Drennen in 1947 and they had three sons; Patrick Lee Drennen, Michael Jerome Drennen, and George Richard Drennen. Donna was preceded in death by Patrick in 1983 and Ricky in 1956, her parents Hazel and Thomas Winter, her brother and his wife Thomas and Laura Winter, her sister and her husband Gail and Harry Van Teylingen.
Donna moved to Colorado Springs in 1956. She worked as a single mother for the Myron Stratton Home, Inglis Mortgage Company and as a loan officer for First Federal Savings and Loan.
Donna is survived by her son Michael Drennen and his wife Gabrielle, her grandson, Daniel Drennen. Her nephews Ron Winter and Doug Winter and her nieces, Abbie Winter, Leah Schafer, Jadene Lyons, Terese Van Teylingen, and Julie Winter along with many grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
