Donna Hall
July 12, 1925 – October 2, 2016
Donna Mae Tucker Hall passed away October 2, 2016, at the age of 91. She was born July 12, 1925 in Sparks, Nevada to Shirley Starkey Tucker and Ivie Mae Loveland. Soon after her birth, the family moved to Ogden, Utah and eventually purchased a small farm in Slaterville where she grew up as the fourth of seven children. Life on the farm was hard, and became even harder when her father passed away when she was only twelve, leaving her mother to raise their family alone in a small log farmhouse that had electricity but no indoor plumbing. Through this experience they all learned responsibility and the value of hard work. They became a very close knit family and remained that way the rest of their lives.

Donna graduated from Weber High School in 1943 where she played the clarinet in the school band. On October 4th of that same year she married her sweetheart, John Randolph Hall, while he was on leave from the Air Force. Four years later they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. In 1956 they built their home in North Ogden and lived there for the remainder of their lives. They were happily married for over 63 years until his death in 2007.

After high school she worked at Shupe Williams Candy Company in Ogden before becoming a stay-at-home mother while raising her five children.
