Donn E. Younce, 82, died February 19th, in Santa Paula, California.
Donn was born May 5, 1929, in Ventura, California, to Jack and Helen Younce. Donn was a lifelong resident of Ventura County.
As a young man Donn served as a deep water rescue diver off the coast of Ventura as well as working numerous years for the Union Ice Company. He enjoyed participating in dirt track auto racing and auto racing, in general.
The majority of Donn’s working career was in commercial refrigeration. He owned and operated Oxnard Refrigeration. He worked enthusiastically in this profession for 45 years. Never one to be idle, he continued working every day until his body would no longer let him.
He is survived by his wife, Kay, of 44 years; sons, Larry, Mike, Jim, Brett, and Donnie; daughter, Michelle; daughters-in-law Lalani and Dawn and son-in-law Bryce; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
