Donarae Marion Roberts Young age 80, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home (Suzann Wilson) on January 13, 2013.
She was born February 21, 1932 in Phelps City, Missouri the daughter of John Jerdon and Virgie Abeline Thomas Roberts. Her family relocated to Idaho, and eventually settled in Blackfoot. As an adult Donarae lived a large part of her life in Roy, Utah and St. Anthony, Idaho.
Donarae was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized August 7, 1954. She loved to attend the temple and always held a current recommend.
She married Wayne E. Young and had three children; Glenda Jean Young, Donarae Suzann Wilson and Daniel Wayne Young. They later divorced and she ultimately made her home in Ogden and has been a member of the Ogden Monroe Branch for the past 18 years. She had a very strong testimony and was a great example to her family and friends. She served diligently in many callings in the Church, and she had a great love for Relief Society.
Our Mom was an excellent homemaker and cook, and an accomplished seamstress, knitter, and crocheter. She also loved to read, and had a great love of the scriptures. The one thing that she enjoyed most in her life was spending time with her Family. Her Grandchildren were the very center of her life.
Donarae is survived by daughters, Glenda Jean Young and Donarae Suzann Wilson (Nacey); 10 grandchildren, Mindy, Teresa, Jennifer, Lisa (Jared), Shelly, Brett (Fawn), Colleen, Cameron, Curtis (Kristen) and Corey; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Faye, Joyce, Ruth, Jerry and Mark. She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Wayne Young; her parents and siblings, Maxine, Bonnie, Virginia, Jean, Sharon and Butch.
