Donald Wilbert Scotton, 84, passed from this life into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 12, 2023. Donald loved his Lord, his family, his church family and his country. He was born to Marvin and Addie Pugh Scotton and lived his entire life in Staley, NC.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Faye Dorman Scotton, daughter, Lisa Canoy and husband Mark, son, Tim Scotton and wife Renita. He was blessed with granddaughters Stephanie Kearns (Forrest), Sarah Gooch (Sawyer), Brandi Ketchum (Scott) and grandsons Josh Canoy and Aaron Canoy; greatgrandchildren McKinley and Connor. Donald is also survived by brother Rev. Delmar Scotton (Betty), sisters Frances Martin (Bob) and Linda Kimrey (Wayne), numerous nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by brother Hampton Scotton (Edna) and sisters Eunice Wicker (Donald) and Shirley Hughes (Floyd).
