Donald W. Nelson, 68, a lifelong resident of Upton, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston after suffering a heart attack four weeks previously. He was the husband of Gloria M. (White) Nelson and had worked for Fenwal, Inc. in Ashland for 37 years before retiring six years ago.
Mr. Nelson was born in Milford, a son of the late William J. and Rosina (Hyer) Nelson.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he leaves three children, Donna Duda and her husband Gerald of Uxbridge, William Nelson and his wife Zita of Bristol, RI, and Bonnie Peters and her husband Arthur Peters, Jr. of Boylston; a brother, Richard Nelson of Wickenburg, AZ; and one grandson, Brandon Nelson of Bristol, RI.
