Donald Thomas “Don” Ward, 75, of Westminster, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the Dove House. Born September 19, 1940 in Grayson County, VA, he was the son of the late Irene Bales Ward and Charles T. Ward. He was the loving husband of Julianne Ward.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Tom Ward of Catonsville, MD and David and Tina Ward of La Plata, MD, daughter and son-in-law, Linda Ward Terry and Brian Terry of Milwaukee, WI. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Don graduated from the University of Maryland College Park as a civil engineer and Johns Hopkins University with a master’s degree in engineering. He worked over 30 years as a civil engineer at Baltimore Gas & Electric. He then retired to form his own business and consulted as a structural engineer. In addition Don taught at Johns Hopkins University and was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Westminster, MD.
