Donald T. Norkus, age 94, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and father-in-law, passed away early on Veteran’s Day, Thursday, November 11, 2021. Born and raised in the Roseland neighborhood of south Chicago and a graduate of Fenger High School. Don was a very proud American, Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient.
Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Jacob Norkus; mother, Patricia Mae (Urban); sister, Margaret; brother-in-law, Joseph Slowiak; brother, Edward; sister-in-law, Shirley, sister-in-law Linda (Squeo), and brother-in-law, Rocco Squeo.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Joyce; daughter, Dawn; son-in-law, Tim Patchett; son, Craig, and grandson, Carson Patchett. He was also an uncle to many loved nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
