Don Brown passed away April 2, 2015, at the age of 106.  Donald Sumner Brown was born March 4 1909, to his parents, William and Gertrude Knowlton Brown in Greenleaf, Idaho.  His marriage to Muriel LaVeta (Osborn) gave him three daughters: Doris (Henske), Carolyn (Thrasher) and LaVeta Gail (Thompson).   He was extremely proud of all three of his daughters and was their prime encourager—that they could do and be anything.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife LaVeta, daughters LaVeta Gail and Carolyn Ann, three brothers, and three sisters.  He is survived by his daughter Doris Henske, 9 grandchildren,  Chris Holt, Sue Payne, Mary Beck, Sharil Davis, Larry Thrasher, Gary Thrasher, Marcell Costin, Tracie Watson and Bob Thomopson and 28 great grandchildren and 29great-great grandchildren

He lived a very successful life with many professions in Idaho, Oregon, California, and Alaska.

His favorite activities were hunting and fishing with his many friends and family.  He enjoyed flying with his friend Ilo.  He loved new cars but always paid cash as he never wanted to be in debt to others.  Always one to tell a good story, he and his daughter LaVeta collaborated on a book of the first 100 years of his life. This is a family treasure telling many of his one-of-a kind adventures.

The family would like to express special thanks to Legacy caregivers, Kevin, Krista, April, Julie and other staff.

Although he outlived many family and friends, he will be sorely missed by those remaining.
