Donald Roy Brewer, age 72, of Centralia, IL, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 3:10 p.m. at his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Brewer was born September 9, 1942 in Salem, IL a son to Frank Evert and Alice Matilda (Gillett) Brewer.
He married Donna Jo Casper on June 9, 1979 in Centralia and she survives in Centralia. Donald is survived by his wife Donna Brewer of Centralia; two sons, Ted Brewer of Odin and Kenny Brewer of Centralia; three daughters Francie Kramer and husband Kelly of Wichita, KS, Sueanna Mosley and husband Mark of Lebanon, MO, and Danita Hill and husband Eddy of Wichita, KS; nine grandchildren David Scott and wife Kayla, Harrison, Ian, and Elizabeth Kramer, Heather and Jessi Dameron, Cassandra Sue Carrolton, and Amber and Matthew Mosley; four great-grandchildren Clayton, Aalyvia, Savannah, and Tucker, with two more great-grandchildren on the way; one brother, John Robert Brewer and wife Roberta; three sisters Mary Jane Courson, Shirley Mae Sill and Alice Marie Harmon and husband Orville “Red”; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alice; three brothers, Earl, Frederick “Gene” and Frank Jr.; and four sisters, Ozalma Kirgan, Grace Brown, Helen Ray and Dorothy Martin.Donald was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed horses, woodworking, gardening, his forty acre farm, but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He worked for Valley Steel as an over head crane operator; Rockwell in the cross car department, and most recently for Swan in machine maintenance.
