SALEM – Donald “Rabbit” E. Martines, Sr., age 83, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Salem North Healthcare Center. He was born November 28, 1934 in Leetonia, the son of the late Francis and Olive (Miller) Martines.
Rabbit was a truck driver for 20 years for Cross Oil. He was a member of the Perry Lodge #185 F&AM and Aut Mori Grotto. Rabbit served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a loving father.
His wife, Betty Lou (Willis) Martines preceded him in death July 9, 2014.
Survivors include, two sons, Donald “Ed” Martines Jr. and Pat Martines, both of Youngstown; three sisters, Betty Moore of Salem, Pat Kornbau of Mercer, PA, and Ruth Millikin of Leetonia.
A brother, Francis Martines; a sister, Dolores Gallagher and a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Martines also preceded him in death.
