Donald Richard Temple, 95, passed away peacefully at his home on June 9, 2020. He was born on September 9, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Guy Richard Temple and Jean (Sageman) Temple.

Don was united in marriage to his soul mate Nannette Elizabeth (Lutz) Temple on October 5, 1946. Nannette passed away on September 18, 2010. His parents, in-laws, two brothers-in-law and a great-niece have preceded him.

Don is survived by his daughter Gail Ann (Tim) Dixon, his brother John Roy (Amy) Temple, and nieces and nephews: Sara E. (Alex) VanderVeen, Guy (Anne) Temple, Karla (Steve) Yocum, Todd (Denise) Lutz, Robert (Margie) Lutz, Marie Lutz, Pat (Janice) Lutz, Dan Lutz, Susan (Henry) Aguilar, and their families and cousins.

Don came to Kalamazoo with the Austin Company in March of 1946 when they started building the Upjohn Company in Portage. He left the Austin Company in 1952. He then went to work for HH Shinville and stayed there until he retired/closed the company in 1997.

Don belonged to many organizations: Life member of the following: Masonic Lodge, Kalamazoo Anchor 22, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Grand Rapids, Life member of Kachina Klub, Jesters, and Kalamazoo Shrine Club. Also, a member of ElHajj. He was also a bowler for over 50 years until he had to give it up for health reasons.
