Donald R. Ricks, 80, of Cumming, GA died on July 19, 2012 at Embracing Hospice House after a long struggle with Parkinson s and dementia. He was born in Soperton, GA on May 27, 1932 to the late Reva and Pierce Ricks. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Pierce Ricks in 1956 and his brothers, Kenneth and Tommy Ricks. Don graduated from Soperton High School in 1949 as valedictorian of his class. He served in the Air Force as a Staff Sgt during the Korean Conflict.
