Wrapped in the love of his family and embraced by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Colletta Szymanski Kinker, from home Don ascended into the arms of God on 02/03/2021 after 18 months of declining health.  Lovingly raised by deceased grandparents, Jos E. Smith, Keturah Minnie McMullen Smith and mother, Anna Kathleen Smith Kinker Walbeck, his values were old school.  His father, Donald Edward Kinker, was occasionally present.  Don was a proud Toledo, OH boy, he attended Cherry Elementary, Jesup W. Scott H.S. and graduated from the University Of Toledo.  He had a unique, playful and joyful spirit, lived passionately and in the moment.  Don’s personality illuminated each room entered.  He was extremely loyal to lifelong and newly acquired friends.  Beverly Richardson, Richard Herman, Carl Keith and Charles Pfister, among countless others, were held close to his heart.  Golf was Gloria’s only competition!  Don voiced he had never expected to live such a full and good life.  His greatest accomplishments are beloved daughter, Beth Witt (Ivo Podobnikar), and cherished son, Todd Kinker (Virginia).  Don loved his attentive grandchildren, Spencer Witt (Melissa), Madeline Kinker (Luke) and Matthew Kinker.  Affiliations were:  Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Iota Chapter, Columbus Claims’ Club, Upper Arlington H.S. Boosters, former President Upper Arlington H.S. Parents’ Lacrosse Club, Upper Arlington Senior Center.  He held multiple positions relating to Auto Insurance Claims and fully retired from Crawford & Co. in 2013.
