Donald Ray Cantrell, 78, of Edwardsville, Ill., born Sept. 1, 1932, in Bloomington, Ind., died Sept. 23, 2010, at Relais Bonne Eau in Edwardsville, Ill.
Mr. Cantrell was retired from Conrail and was a member of Troy United Methodist Church in Troy, Ill. He had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, nee Williams, Cantrell, whom he married May 27, 1955, and who died Sept. 24, 2004; parents, Claude Cantrell and Josephine, nee Beam, Cantrell Keller; and a sister, Norma Thrasher.
Surviving are his daughters, Cynthia Moore of Edwardsville, Ill., and Susan Cantrell of Walnut Creek, Calif.; grandchildren, Lucas and Jarrod (Diane) Moore; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Ally and Hannah Moore.
