Donald R. Breen, 67, of Williamsport, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at his home.

    Born November 29, 1943 in Williamsport, he was a son of Paul B. and Mary C. Burchanowski Breen.

    He was a 1961 graduate of Williamsport High School and earned a degree in electrical construction from Williamsport Technical Institute. He had worked for Spook Hollow Salvage Yard, Frank Hayes Pontiac, Elmer Drum Trucking, and M.W. Farmer. Don was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Ascension Church. He was a coach and manager of softball teams at Newberry Little League for 16 years. He loved dogs and animals, watching sports, and NASCAR. He was the mechanic for the car “Orange Blossom Special”, which they raced at Selinsgrove Racetrack.

    Donnie was well known for his ability to do anything and never let the fact that he had only one arm stop him from doing what he wanted.

    Surviving are his wife Martha (Haupt) Breen, together, they would have celebrated their 40th anniversary in December, three children Kevin D. Breen (Denise) of Williamsport, Karen D. Breen of Williamsport, and Kristina M. Johnson (Michael) of Montgomery, three grandchildren Melissa Hess of Emerald Isle, NC, Paul Breen, and Jessica Hess both of Williamsport, four brothers, his twin brother Paul B. Breen of Cogan Station, William F. Breen (Faith)of Williamsport, Michael J. Breen of Williamsport, and Dennis P. Breen (Connie) of Williamsport.

    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Christina Breen, infant brother Paul Henry Breen, and a sister Donna R. Breen.
