Colonel Donald P. Coleman, 83, passed away Wed, April 5, 2017, at Holmes Regional Medical Center. He was surrounded by his 4 children as he peacefully joined his wife, Scottie, the love of his life, in heaven.
Don was born and raised in New York City and joined the US Air Force in 1951 as a private. He retired 36 years later as a full Colonel and has been called an “Airman among Airmen and a Colonel among Colonels.” He was a true leader and patriot, always leaving a lasting impression. However, Don would tell you that his greatest achievement was marrying Eula Mae (Scottie) Moseley and sharing their life for 62 years.
