Donald O’Barr , age 62, of Holiday Island, AR passed from this life into an eternity with his Lord and Savior on Thursday November 13, 2014. He was born August 14, 1952 in Franklin Co, Georgia. Donald was adopted and raised by his parents Hugh Anton and Jessie Lee (Blanton) O’Barr. He was raised in Georgia and lived there until he began his music career and moved to Memphis, Tennessee. His passion in life was his music and his faith. He was master of the guitar and played electric, acoustic, rhythm, and bass guitar as well as the harmonica, drums and keyboard. Donald was also a talented song writer and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar at his church. He was a member of Holiday Island Baptist Church. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy O’Barr of the home, one son, Jason Wayne David of Orlando, FL and a number of friends and church family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Jessie O’Barr.
