Donald O. Elpers, 74, Anderson, died May 30, 2004 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born March 2, 1930 in Gibson County, Indiana. He moved to Anderson in 1954 from Fort Branch, IN. He retired in 1990 from Emge Packing Company. He was a 1952 graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Elwood, IN.
He is survived by his Wife – Marjorie L. Gray Elpers – of Anderson – Married November 27, 1954 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN. Two Sons: Brian D. and wife Debbie Pancol Elpers of Anderson and Kevin L. and wife Ellen Neuhoff Elpers of Evansville. Two Brothers: Robert H. and wife Doris Elpers of Fort Branch, IN and Roger P. and wife Gwin Elpers of Anderson. Sister: Eileen Elpers Carter of Fort Branch, IN. Seven Grandchildren: Michael Elpers; Melissa Elpers; Eric Elpers all of Anderson; Matthew Elpers of St. Louis, MO; David Elpers of Chicago, IL; Laura Ann Elpers and Kate Elpers both of Evansville.
He was preceded by his Parents: Conrad & Christina Emge Elpers. Daughter – Ann Renee Elpers who died in 1962.
