Williamsport, Maryland- Donald Marshall Grove-92 of Williamsport, MD passed away on Saturday October 18, 2014 at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport. Born August 21, 1922 in Falling Waters, WV, he was the son of the late Frank and Elsie Lemon Grove. His wife Virginia Seamone Grove predeceased him in 2012. He was a 1940 graduate of Williamsport High school where he was a member of the State Champion Soccer Team in 1939. He was a Merchant Marine. He retired in 1984 from Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown. Donald was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Hagerstown, UAW Local #842 Hagerstown, The West Virginia Society of Maryland and AARP. He was an avid hunter and golfer and he loved the Baltimore Orioles, the Washington Nationals and the Washington Redskins. Donald is survived by his sons Donald L. Grove and Duane A. Grove both of Hagerstown, Daniel M. Grove of Annapolis, MD, Dennis P. Grove of Snow Hill, MD, and Daryl J. Grove of Ellicott City, MD, grandchildren Shiloh, Jolene, Josh, Brooke, Nicholas, Dustin and Davis, and his great grandchildren Landon, Deacon, Emma, Grayson and Dechen. In addition to his wife and parents, Donald was predeceased by two brother and two sisters.
