Donald M. Meyer, 86, of Holiday Heights section of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Glen Ridge, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. 20 years ago.
Donald served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a Master Locksmith and owner of Bell Security in Bloomfield, NJ. He was a member and past president of the NJ Master Locksmiths Association. He was a member of the Whiting Methodist Church.
He was predeceased by his wives, Ingrid and Joan, and his son Robert. Donald is survived by his children and their spouses Carol Meyer & Kim Sinclair of Dubai, UAE, Kathy Meyer of Arlington, VA, Susan & Paul McCoy of Livingston, NJ, and Eric Meyer of Dover, NJ, and a daughter-in-law Mary Meyer of Glen Ridge, NJ; 3 stepchildren and their spouses Carole & Richard Johansen of Tinton Falls, NJ, Kathy & Vincent Francesco of Bloomfield, NJ and David Romano of Tujunga, CA; a brother Richard Meyer of Flanders, NJ; 11 grandchildren and long time friend and companion Marguerite Martinkus.
